The Christmas in Lace Town was celebrated in Rauma from November 25, 2022 to January 7, 2023. Numerous Christmas events and programme were organized in the city. The Christmas in Lace Town also included new kinds of experiences, such as the Joulevangeeljum musical, which was performed for the first time in Finland and The Christmas Elf Courtyard in Tammela, which was aimed at families with children.

The spectacular Joulevangeeljum filled the streets of Old Rauma on Saturday 17 December. The Joulevangeeljum play was written and directed by Arto Myllärinen. Lasse Heikkilä was responsible for the composition. A total of more than 200 people were involved in the implementation.

The Christmas Elf Courtyard in Tammela was aimed at families with children. The buildings in the courtyard were filled with Christmas decorations, and atmospheric lighting enlivened the yard. Guided elf trails and Christmas craft workshops were organized on weekends in the Christmas Elf Courtyard.

Joultori (Christmas Market) and recycling events for Christmas decorations were also organized in Rauma. In addition, Kitukränni was once again decorated with the light and sound installation called The Smallest Christmas Street in Finland by visual artist Jaakko Niemelä. Wonderful Christmas photos were taken at the Christmas tree alley in Vähäraastuvankatu.

The Lumen light art event brought light to the time after Christmas from 31 December 2022 to 7 January 2023.
